The Public Outreach Program aims to promote Palestinian contemporary culture and life through creative encounters that target primarily the younger generation of artists and performers. It is a platform to showcase young talent in music, art, literature and cinema, as well as presenting a rich program of talks and performances about the city and its history, interpolated by an assortment of culinary activities involving local chefs and non-professional members of the community. Artists, writers, historians, musicians and performers are invited to give public performances including talks, discussions, readings, shows and film screenings with the aim to bring together community members and creative individuals in a shared space for experimentation, entertainment and free expression.

A Classical Concert

Peter Sulski (violin), Bella Canetti (viola), Belina Fernandez (violin), and Collin Oldham (cello) performed in collaboration with students of the Magnificat Institute in a classical concert.

Bella Canetti is a violist and violinist based in Jerusalem. She has played in various orchestras locally and internationally and was the manager and co-founder of the "New Israeli" Chamber Ensemble, the International Canetti Music Festival, and the Violin Competition. She arranges and composes music for young violinists, violists, small ensembles, young orchestras and professional violin/viola duets. She studied in Baku Music Academy under Professor M. Aisenshtadt, Professor Kravchenko, and F. Huseynov in the Moscow Conservatory.

Peter Sulski is a teacher of violin, viola, and chamber music at Clark University and College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. He was a member of the London Symphony Orchestra for seven years and has served on the faculty of the Royal Colelge of Music and tiniry Colelge of Music and Drama, as well as the Artistic Director of Chapel Royal Concerts, which he founded in 1993. He debuted at Carnegie Hall in 1999 and London South Bank in 2001. Peter is also a member of QX and MIstral, the Artistic Director of Thayer Festival in Lancaster, Massachussetts, and records for Centaur Records.

Belina Fernandez is a violinist based in Austria. She studied at the Prague Conservatory, an institution dedicated to the education and training of professional musical and theatrical artists.

Collin Oldham is a cello teacher and performer based in Jerusalem. He has performed and recorded with alternative bands including the Decemberists, Richmond Fontaine, and the Portland Cello Project, in addition to performances with the National Symphony, the Oregon Symphony, the Louisville Orchestra, and the Washington Opera.
